CLINICS

Our squash clinics teach young players in a team setting that is creating a culture of camaraderie, well suited for long-term optimal development. Team based classes provide an environment where all participants can learn, practice and perfect skills against various opponents, styles and pressure situations. Our program philosophy is keeping the “fun” in the game while helping students reach their full potential. Beyond squash, we take pride in developing work ethic, respect, sportsmanship and professional behavior, skills that will last a lifetime.

 

*Each participant must own protective eyewear (goggles) and non-marking sole indoor shoes.

We provide racquets for beginners or in case of emergency as a courtesy.

Get ready to improve your squash game by training along with gold level players.

Technical, tactical, mental and physical training, video analysis and individual goal settings for the upcoming season.

Children will be grouped together based on appropriate age and levels.

Spring clinics are 10 sessions long, starting March 6, 2022 and ending June 4, 2022.

Clinic Class List

Level 100                         

Meets: Saturdays: 9:00am-10:00am and Sundays 9:00am-10:00am

 

This program is designed to introduce the great game of squash to all ages, providing fundamental skills and enjoyment while learning the game. The clinics focus on game rules and strategy, learning the basic shots, movement, improving physical fitness, introducing squash ethics and most of all, having fun during the process. Each clinic lasts 60 minutes, with an option of once or twice a week

Level 200

Meets: Mon through Fri: 3:45pm-5:15pm, Sat: 10:00am-11:30am & 11:30am-1:00pm and Sun: 12:00pm-1:30pm & 1:30pm-3:00pm

 

This program focuses on developed players of all ages and introduces the element of competition into training, in preparation for U.S. Squash tournaments and middle school matches, with a goal of improving all aspects of squash skills: strategy, technique, tactics, physical fitness, and mental toughness. The classes include 90 minute on court sessions with an optional 30 minutes of sport specific fitness education and training. You can choose to participate once, twice or three times per week

Level 300 – All Ages

 

Meets: Mon, Tues, Wed, & Thurs: 5:15pm-6:45pm

This program is by invitation only, for nationally ranked tournament players and high school team players, that are committed to their squash game and continuous development. The classes will include 90 minute on court sessions with an optional 30 minute sport specific fitness education and training. This class is offered once or twice a week.

      Increasing your physical fitness outside of playing your favorite sport, is an essential part of an athlete’s development. Our fitness exercise classes are offered for every child regardless of age. A stronger body will improve sports performance, confidence, and play a large role in injury prevention. Most importantly, educating the young about the importance of fitness will lay the foundation for a healthier and happier lifestyle. This program content changes based on the seasonal tournament schedule (pre, mid, peak, post) with a concentration on strength, cardio endurance, agility, flexibility, speed, balance, muscle and recovery.

Focus Points:
• Foam rolling (trigger point release methods)
• Yoga (power, restorative, Vinyasa flow)
• Plyometrics (explosive training for increasing power, fast muscle reaction)
• Interval training
• Bodyweight training
• Aerobic/anaerobic training
